About this Event

In this time of increased polarization, imminent threats, and potential political violence, it is more important than ever for partners from diverse faiths and communities to stand united in our commitment to peace, to one another, and to a pluralistic and multiracial democratic society. As such, the San Francisco Interfaith Council, in partnership with San Francisco City Attorney David Chiu, and the Asian Pacific Islander-Jewish Round Table are hosting this special pre-election briefing for community and faith partners.

Join us on October 29th at 7pm for: Solidarity and Security: United For Peace and Democracy Across Faith and Community, a virtual conversation moderated by Michael Pappas, Executive Director of the San Francisco Interfaith Council.

Our panelists will be David Chiu, City Attorney of San Francisco, Rafael Brinner, Senior Director of Community Security for Bay Area Jewish Federation, Molly Joser Community Security Advisor for Bay Area Jewish Federation, and Peter Adams, SVP of Research and Design at the News Literacy Project.

The program will focus on building peace and strengthening our democracy through community solidarity and share best practices for security and misinformation related to the national election.
