SFIC Online Briefing for Faith Leaders to Address Behavioral/Mental/Spiritual Health Impact of the COVID-19
The devastating impact of the Coronavirus (COVID-19) is multi-faceted. Most visible is its aggressive and contagious ability to enter into our bodies, damage our physical health and in many cases bring about death. Another very real impact is the collateral damage caused by the necessary shelter-in-place orders on employment and economic security. Taken together these two factors and others have had a profound impact on the behavioral, mental and spiritual health of those under quarantine. Thursday's online briefing for faith leaders, hosted by the San Francisco Interfaith Council in collaboration with the San Francisco Departments of Public Health and Emergency Management, will address the behavioral, mental and spiritual health impact of the COVID-19, namely isolation, fear and anxiety and programs and services being provided to offer relief.
