The only Syrian-born Anglican priest in the world, the Rev. Nadim Nassar will speak at Grace Cathedral on Sunday, March 31, on his work with The Awareness Foundation, which through education empowers children, young people and adults in Syria and Iraq to build peace in a region torn apart by war.
A passionate author, preacher and speaker, Nassar’s mission is to build ecumenical bridges in a world torn by strife and devastating warfare; he travels the globe to encourage and inspire dialogue among Christians, Jews and Muslims. His upbringing in the Middle East and his understanding of the Abrahamic faiths mean Nassar is uniquely positioned to offer an authentic voice to Christianity, Judaism and Islam. His book, The Culture of God,was published last fall to great fanfare in global interfaith circles.
