Buddhism, Mindfulness & Psychotherapy

Buddhism, Mindfulness, and Psychotherapy share a common basis in focusing on practices related to the mind as a means of addressing human suffering. At the same time, there may be significant differences related to understandings of the body, the nature of the human self, and the fruits of liberation, pain and stress management, and healing. Mark Unno who is both an ordained Buddhist priest and a scholar at the University of Oregon who has researched the intersections and divergences of these three practices will explore with the participants key points of understandings, ramifications, and consequences.
