"Wall of Song" is a collaborative work by artists Mel Day and Michael Namkung. The project invites people from all backgrounds, beliefs, political affiliations, orientations and countries of origin—no matter their ability to carry a tune—to record themselves singing Leonard Cohen’s “Hallelujah.” In this time of great unknowing, uncertainty and division, this is a wall that brings us together.
The artists invite you to add your voice to the work before the event by singing online at wallofsongproject.com. Immediately following Yoga, at 7:30 pm, the artists will lead everyone in singing together, followed by a screening of the work. There will also be several private singing booths throughout the cathedral, giving attendees the opportunity to add their voices and faces to future installations of the project.
