After a historically divisive election, we want to create a space for San Franciscans to meet and celebrate the values and communities that have made this city a beacon of diversity, acceptance and creativity to the world. Now is the time to come together and lift each other up, especially the communities who are suffering from the bruises and alienation caused by the backdrop of ‘isms’ that have dominated this election year.
Love & Unity Procession
Bring your messages of love to the waterfront this Sunday to show the country and the world that unity and solidarity can lift us all up and carry us into the future.
The concept of Sunday Streets immigrated here from Bogotá, Colombia and was inspired by the need to address climate change and grow community connections in our cities. As an extension of those roots, we are honored to be hosting the processions with other organizations that work to ensure that San Francisco stays and deepens its commitment to being the just, environmentally- and socially-conscious and welcoming city it has been throughout history.
