Loneliness and social isolation are social risk factors critical to health throughout one’s life. Dr. Ashwin Kotwal and Dr. Carla Perissinotto, from the Division of Geriatrics at the University of California, San Francisco, and Kate Blank, LCSW, from Seniors At Home, will discuss loneliness and social isolation, their impact on health prior to the COVID-19 pandemic, and ways the pandemic has exacerbated these health risks.

Our speakers will also present strategies that individuals, family members, communities, and health systems can use to address loneliness, social isolation, and their health consequences.
