Tomiquia Moss, chief executive officer of Hamilton Families, will speak about the current state of homelessness in the Bay Area at Grace Cathedral’s “Forum” on Sunday, February 24. Hamilton Families is nationally recognized for its pioneering efforts in homelessness prevention and rapid rehousing programs.
Moss joined Hamilton Families in 2017 with more than 20 years of nonprofit leadership and management experience. She is recognized both nationally and locally as a dynamic nonprofit leader with expertise in public policy and community planning. From 2014 to 2017, she served directly under the mayors of both San Francisco and Oakland, most recently as chief of staff for Oakland mayor Libby Schaaf; previously she was the executive director of the HOPE SF Initiative, a public housing and neighborhood revitalization effort with San Francisco mayor Ed Lee’s office. Moss has been a social worker and community activist in many communities around the country. She holds a master’s degree in public administration from Golden Gate University and currently lives in Oakland with her family.
