Grace Cathedral’s local agricultural chaplain the Rev. Elizabeth DeRuff will offer a practical, hands-on lesson in heirloom wheat milling and bread baking. As part of the first Episcopal Grain CSA (Community Supported Agriculture), heirloom wheat from The Bishop’s Ranch will be harvested and stone milled into fresh flour for communion bread baking.
Learn about The Staff of Life Flour – why it’s important from a culinary as well as a spiritual point of view; bakers will practice techniques suitable for baking “the bread of life.” Open to all ages – bake with your children this Father’s Day!
