The Bay Area has just one Funeral Home dedicated to serving the Jewish community. We began our operations during the Gold Rush and now, 120-years later, we have several locations around the SF Bay Area, all under the name, Sinai Memorial Chapel.

As part of our nonprofit mission, we are pleased to offer educational opportunities focused on Jewish rituals and practices around death care. Our April 27, 2025, Day of Learning is open to all that are interested in exploring Jewish perspectives on end-of-life care, tradition, and support. Clergy, Chaplains, Community Organizers, Hospice professionals and end of life doulas, caregivers, and those with the courage and interest to contemplate mortality are all welcome to join us.

  • WHERE: Sinai Memorial Chapel in San Francisco at 1501 Divisadero Street at Geary
  • WHEN: Sunday, April 27, 2025 from 10am to 3pm
  • WHAT: Our program will include discussions on Jewish rituals, spiritual and emotional preparation, and practical guidance for documenting  end of life wishes.

All those interested in these topics are invited to attend. This event is free, however advance registration is required. A complimentary lunch will be provided by Dina's Kosher Catering. If you have any questions or special requests, please feel free to contact us directly.
