A community viewing of the film, CAREGIVER: A Love Story, and a candid discussion with the film's director Dr. Jessica Zitter.
About this Event
Join JFCS' Seniors At Home as we host Dr. Jessica Zitter for a community viewing of her film, CAREGIVER: A Love Story, and a discussion on life, love, death, and family.
CAREGIVER: A LOVE STORY challenges viewers to acknowledge the growing strain placed on family caregivers and to envision a new approach.
The film provides a glimpse into a crisis that might someday affect each and every one of us. As we witness the inescapable and rising pressures on a caregiver, we realize that a good end-of-life experience is not a guarantee, even if we do all the “right things.” It is a sobering message, but one which too many will relate to, and which all of the rest of us need to hear.
After the film. Dr. Zitter, co-director of the film, will join Gwen Harris MA, Seniors At Home Care Manager, in a candid discussion about caregiving and palliative care.
1 CEU available for LCSWs, LMFTs, LPCCs and psychologists for a nominal fee of $10.
