Friends,
In coordination with interagency partners, the DHS Center for Faith-based and Neighborhood Partnerships and Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) established a website for faith-based organizations that serves as a “one-stop shop” for information on available Federal tools, resources, and assistance on protecting houses of worship: www.fema.gov/protecting-houses-worship.This webpage now includes a new "At-a-Glance Guide for Protecting Faith-Based Venues" section.
We also invite you to join and/or receive a recording of a webinar taking place on 4/12/2017 from 2:00 p.m. - 3:30 p.m. EDT. This webinar is a collaboration with FEMA Emergency Management Institute's Higher Education Program; Wheaton College Humanitarian Disaster Institute and University of Southern California Center for Religion and Civic Culture. The topic of the webinar will cover an "academic perspective on increasing engagement with faith-based and community organizations in disaster preparedness."
For those participating in religious observances on April 12, 2017, or unable to make the webinar due to other conflicts in schedule, we have ensured the webinar will be recorded and disseminated to all webinar registrants. Please register for the webinar and you will receive a recording of the webinar, a copy of the presentations and contact information for all speakers and presenters.
Sincere Regards,
DHS Center for Faith-Based & Neighborhood Partnerships
