The 16th Annual UCSF Abundant Life Health Ministries Symposium: A Gathering for Faith, Health and Community is scheduled for Saturday, September 9, 2023, 10am, online via Zoom. The purpose of the event is to foster the development, growth and sustainability of health ministries through information dissemination, education, networking, and follow-up technical assistance to help address cancer related health disparities for progress toward healthier individuals, families, congregations and communities. The "Gathering" features speakers & health experts, discussion on the latest health & wellness and cancer topics with a focus on communities of faith (the whole person-mind, body, soul/spirit) and communities of color who experience a greater burden of inequities & disparities. Participants will gain tips, resources, inspiration, and call to action. The "Gathering" also features a virtual Marketplace of Community Resources for access to cancer information, cancer research, health & wellness resources and potential partners.
